Dear Residents

We live in unusual and very scary times. Let us all look out for one another and do our best to offer support to each other during this difficult time.

We have already had some enquiries from residents wanting to help others. We are sure you all know who your neighbours are and roughly their age group. You probably also know whether or not they have relatives/friends who live close by.

If you have an elderly and possibly lone resident next door to you, please can you take the time NOW to find out whether they have someone who will be looking out for them with shopping and medical supplies.

If you identify someone in need and you cannot support them yourself please let us know so we can try to find someone who can.

As the situation moves to the next phase please DO check on those nearby as their intended help may not be forthcoming as they too could be infected. You do not have to go inside if they are ill you could leave provisions on the doorstep. You could make a phone call for them if they are too sick to do this themselves or if they have no Email/internet organise home delivery from a supermarket or medication from a pharmacy. In this time of emergency, most of all, for our senior residents, especially those living alone, it will be the knowing that someone is thinking about them that is going to be the morale booster and most important.

This crisis is not just for this week, or this month, we could be in for an extended period of isolation for many and making plans now may make all the difference in the hard times we are about to face.In the coming weeks, if you are in difficulty, please let TERA know and we will try to find a resident close to you who can help.

Wishing you all well
