A great street party was had by 160 residents who attended on the 7 May 2023 in Queens Avenue to celebrate King Charles coronation.

There was live music supplied by Sam Scarrott. There was a Raffle with many wonderful prizes for everyone to win.

The children had the best hat and outfit competition. There was a game for them to knock off bottles with a crossbow. Also coloured crowns and posters.

Everyone had an opportunity to find out the answers to the following questions Can you find someone - who was born in a different country, is a vegan or vegetarian, likes the same music as you, can wiggle their eyebrows, is left handed, has a pet, can speak another language.

Every household was asked to bring food with them which was amazing - we had various cakes, salads, samosas, bhajis, quiches, fruit, drinks and a wonderful chicken biryani supplied by the mosque. There was so much left over that residents took food parcels home with them.  There was also a very large cake to celebrate King Charles's crowning.
